Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)

In Malaysia, it is estimated that 1 out of 600 newborn babies every year are born with cleft lip and palate. Treatment is available for these babies but unfortunately not all families have ready access to it. Without adequate treatment, children born with cleft lip and palate develop speech defects and psychological problems later in life. Defective speech habits may be very hard to eliminate once established.

The Gift of a Smile project provides free corrective surgery for children of lower income families at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
